Responsibilities:
The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for establishing, maintaining, reviewing, and revising, as needed, operational standards for accomplishing objectives of the Medical Staff Office. Supports the medical staff, serves as liaison between the medical staff and hospital administration and ensures that the medical staff is compliant with applicable hospital and Joint Comission regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High school graduate with educational programs related to provision of health care administration in terms of medical staff office functions.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years experience in acute care setting.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Certification by the Certification Commission of National Association of Medical Staff Services as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately, both verbally and written. Credentialing Software experience preferred.
