Member Contact Center Representative

The key purpose of this position is to assist members with account servicing such as opening / closing accounts, updating account information, transferring between accounts, issuing cashier’s checks, processing loan payments, assisting members with online and mobile banking, using DocuSign, answering basic lending questions, educating on products and services, cross-selling services and products and other duties as assigned.

What you will do…

  • Providing member account information and resolving reasons for calling
  • Transferring funds
  • Processing payments for loan payments made from outside financial institutions
  • Assessing member needs, determining the best course of action to take or transfer to the appropriate department for resolution
  • Refunding NSF, inactivity, minimum balance, and Courtesy Pay fees
  • Assisting with PEFCU electronic services. Such as:
  • Issuing account history printouts, teller checks, statements, check copies, starter checks, membership forms, miscellaneous applications, brochures, and ordering checks for members
  • Assisting members with routing numbers and account format for setting up direct deposits. Mail member direct deposit letter when requested.
  • Creating or modifying EFT records for share and/or loan accounts.
  • Explaining mobile deposit endorsement and unblocking members.
  • Calming members to a state of being able to resolve their reason for calling
  • This is a sedentary position that requires the ability to sit for long periods, adhere to a set schedule, and process approximately 70-100 calls per day.

What you need….

  • Commitment to an exceptional member experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 1 year relevant experience in a credit union or bank or positions that demonstrate experience working in a financial position (i.e. sales, billing, account resolution, lending)

  • 1-year call center experience

  • Bilingual in Spanish or French Creole, a plus
  • Experience with Symitar core system a plus
