Job Description:

The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will work with our Director of Mental Health Services to support the development, management, and operations of the agency's outpatient and contracted mental health programs. This includes staff and operations management, licensing, and developing relationships with referral agencies. The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assigned clinical performance, clinical outcomes, documentation, staff retention, personnel training and development, and compliance with the annual budget.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will:

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or Social Work.
• Possess a current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LISCW, LMSW) credential or equivalent, or a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as required by WAC (Associate Master's Clinicians considered).
• Clinical supervisor experience after 2 years of full licensure is required (15 hours state supervision requirement required).
• Knowledgeable in alcoholism, drug addiction, and ASAM criteria.
• Knowledgeable in long-term rehabilitative processes, including awareness of the need for medical care, post-treatment crisis, relapse, and new problems airing from sobriety, etc.
• Have at least 3 years of related experience in a mental health outpatient and residential operation facility and/or inpatient facility.
• Have previous management and/or supervisory experience.
• Have knowledge of substance use disorder and mental health programs available throughout the state of WA.
• Have a working understanding of supportive mental health diagnoses, interventions, and co-occurring disorders.
• Understand trauma-informed care and treatment expectations.

The salaried range for this position is $81,500.00 - $122,300.00.

Mental Health Clinical Supervisor Outpatient Job Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment and quality therapeutic counseling services to individuals, families, and groups within the mental health program and other programs as directed.
• Provide case management services, as the individual need for these services, is determined.
• Develop individual service plans (ISP) and reviews according to current WAC requirements.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality assurance review (QAR) processes pertaining to consumer services are in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal mandates.
• Develops and maintains working relationships with community resources that may be utilized to maintain, support, and enhance the functioning of mentally ill individuals.
• Initiate discharge plans and community placement plans for clients completing treatment.
• Maintain all client records on a current basis and in accordance with agency standards and state, federal, contract requirements.
• Assist with necessary data collection and reports.
• Provide community consultation and education services, as assigned by the supervisor.
• Understands and complies with the legal obligations of emergency management, i.e., CPS involvement, and reports to police.
• Participate in psychiatric/psychological consultation, as requested by supervisor.
• Always maintain consumer and staff confidentiality.
• Obtain and maintain appropriate training and continuing education as mandated by contract requirements and DSHS.
