We are hiring for Night of a Million Lights!

Named by USA Today the “Number One Thing To Do In December In Orlando” when it debuted in 2020, Night of a Million Lights is a lightscape of spectacular sparkle and mesmerizing dancing lights, where guests of all ages can create priceless holiday memories – all for a wonderful cause.

This event benefits Give Kids The World Village, an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort that provides critically ill children and their families from around the world with magical week-long wish vacations at no cost.

We are seeking individuals to fill full and part-time seasonal jobs for this 52 night event beginning November 10, 2022 through January 1, 2023. This year the event will take place at Island H2O Water Park, located at 3230 Inspiration Dr. Kissimmee, FL 34747.

Please note, individuals hired for any of the positions available must be able to work from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, weekends and holidays. Applicants will not be required to work every night.

Due to the nature of this event, Give Kids The World will be unable to grant requests for days off once shifts have been assigned to you. By submitting your application, you are acknowledging that you are able to work shifts within the time frame outlined above.

SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE

Provide high-quality merchandising support for NOAML guests and volunteers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Merchandise Outlets

• Keep NOAML outlets in show-ready condition, fully stocked and with neat/clean presentation.

• Maintain NOAML displays.

• Maintain merchandise inventory by performing inventory counts and completing requisitions.

• Tag merchandise items in an efficient manner.

• Provide reports on merchandise sales as requested.

• Become proficient in NOAML sales platform and train volunteers on such as requested.

Volunteers

• Assist with recruiting, training, and coaching of merchandise volunteers.

All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT

• Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, balance, use hands and arms for extended periods of time.

• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.

• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds, unassisted.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include rotating shifts, nights, weekends and/or extended hours of work.

• Proven experience to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage volunteers.
• Ability to speak and write English clearly & articulately with a positive, professional & pleasant manner.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain multiple priorities and ability to adapt quickly and easily to a changing environment.
• Ability to work with all types of individuals, including: guests, co-workers, volunteers, vendors and leaders.
• Must be able to use creative problem solving skills and demonstrate decisiveness.
• Demonstrates great attention to detail.
• Proficient in PC skills including Microsoft Office {Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 3 years of retail experience.
• 2 years of experience in a customer service environment.
• 2 years of experience with administration of a program requiring detailed reporting.
• Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position.
• High School Diploma.
