Full-Time Wooden Door Hang Specialist

Work 10hr shifts Monday - Thursday (Fridays off unless overtime)

Enjoy working with wood? You could be the next Door Hang Specialist at one of the region’s leading moulding manufacturers, Phillip Elenbaas Millwork. The right candidate will be responsible for pre-hanging interior and exterior doors for customers, while also collaborating with other team members to guarantee accuracy and quality. The position is a general labor position focused primarily in our building department, with potential to work with other departments within the Company. This is a rewarding career opportunity with an immediate full-time shift opening.

About Phillip Elenbaas Millwork

Phillip Elenbaas Millwork (PEM) was established in 1990 by Phillip Elenbaas in Walker, Michigan. We added our Harbor Springs, MI plant in 2006, and expanded again in November 2016 with our Traverse City plant. Our goal is always to provide the highest quality moldings and finishings with hundreds of different profiles.

Duties:

Building and hanging

· Hangs doors efficiently to minimize labor costs.

· Follows company standards for every project verifying quality and completeness of each order.

· Consistently lifts 10-50 lbs.

Preparation and Assembly

· Prepares materials and machines parts.

· Uses work orders to ensure correct doors and hardwares are being used for assembly.

Customer Service

· Central moving part of the customer service experience ensuring their order is processed accurately, timely and exceeding quality standards

· Assist all other departments throughout the customer service process from order placement to shipping, if necessary

Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy

· Requires ownership of all tasks presented

· Exceeds goals and is a results-oriented personality within the Company

Qualifications:

· Excellent communication skills

· Entrepreneurial spirit

· High school degree or GED

· Prior experience in woodwork/carpentry preferred

· The ability to push and pull up to 40 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
