Assignment can be with anydepartment within the state of Maine; dependent on need. ProjectManagers support a broad portfolio of Maine's strategic initiatives,supporting all sixteen agencies under the Executive Branch. As a memberof the Project Management Team, you will have the opportunity to workwith a dynamic group of internal/external business and IT partners and beaccountable for leading project teams to achieve their deliverable goals ontime with a high level of quality. This position will be responsible for severalconcurrent projects spanning multiple agencies, offices, and teams, fromimpact assessment through to implementation, using defined projectmethodologies such as Agile, and requires the use of independentjudgement, initiative, and discretion. Key Responsibilities: Project Management• Deliver results for small to mid-sized project initiatives within establishedtimeframes and quality measures.• Prepare new or remediated project assets that may be managed by anexecuting PM.• Direct resources on assigned projects and ensure clarity of project rolesand responsibilities.• Identify project stakeholders and manage communication with the projectstakeholders.• Consult with business leaders to translate a project idea into a definedproject with goals, objectives, and scope.• Identify resources needed, negotiates with people managers as requiredto lead project teams, ensuring clarity of project roles and responsibilities,so that all project plans are completed within defined timeframes, meetingobjectives and strategic goals.• Develop and implement communication and reporting mechanisms tomanage issues, risks, and timely delivery of initiative results. Translatesproject goals/objectives into a defined future state and project successmeasures that can be understood by project stakeholders, project teamand others.• Ensure business needs and objectives are effectively captured infunctional and non-functional business requirements for a system and/orprocess/workflow.• Oversee business requirements to meet expected business solutions andtrace delivery of requirements through testing and final implementation,with mentoring by a more experienced project manager, as needed.General understanding of business requirement management and qualitymanagement in order to meet expected business solutions.• Manage project quality through activities such as conducting appropriatereviews, obtaining approvals, taking corrective action when necessary, withmentoring by a more experienced project manager, if applicable.• Ensure that project documentation is complete and current.• Articulate project management best practices with peer group, as
