JOB SUMMARY:

Design, build, maintain, troubleshoot and repair injection molds and production tooling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support to production operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems used on Injection Molds.
• Work as liaison with design and manufacturing team to concept, design and build secondary operation fixtures.
• Independent project management (i.e. organization, coordination, problem solving, initiative and ownership)
• Able to work independently or in a team atmosphere on various sized projects
• Able to lead technological advances for current department and train others when necessary.
• Able to assist Engineering department with automated tooling.
• Provide valuable contribution of ideas to tool designers during concept and design of injection molds.
• Exhibits advanced trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
• Self-Starter with a strong work ethic.
• Able to take a lead role on projects that involves a team effort.
• Acts as a mentor to train other technicians with less experience.
• Able to use advanced precision measuring equipment.
• Operate with sense of urgency and in the best interests of the company.
• Operate manual and CNC mills, lathes and other equipment as required.
• Proficiency in welding applications, MIG, TIG.
• Be an active member of Kaizen Events (i.e. SMED Team)
• Work overtime or alternate shift as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Project Lead experience with various sized projects.
• Machine Tool Technology certificate or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of experience repairing Injection Molds and building production fixtures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
