RESULTS STATEMENT: I am accountable for producing the following result:

Collect and organize information for secondary market mortgage loan approvals and assist in the production of loan documentation consistent with regulatory guidelines.


GENERAL SUMMARY:


This is an entry level position. Applicant will receive on the job training. Mortgage Assistant is responsible for the processing of a mortgage loan. This position will support the Mortgage Processors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide support to Loan Processors as needed.
  • Support the Loan Processors to ensure timely and independent processing of mortgage loan files (in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies and procedures) from origination through post settlement delivery.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations and the confidentiality of the customers personal information.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, loan agents and third parties involved in the mortgage loan transaction.
  • Remain current on and adhere to all regulatory required training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current or ability to register under the National Mortgage Licensing System
  • Accounting/ Excel experience is beneficial but not required


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to organize projects, priorities, and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to pay critical level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Computer literacy, specifically with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word) and data entry abilities.
