Primary Functions:
This position is assigned to the Transportation Division and works under the general supervision and guidance of the Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) Operations Supervisor and Transportation Division Manager. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of driving duties that support Transportation operations tied to Military Logistic Support services throughout the island.

Essential Functions:
The Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) will be a dedicated professional with a good work ethic. MVO will operate gasoline and diesel-powered box trucks, refrigerator trucks, tractors, buses, fuel trucks, and material handling equipment (MHE) to transport cargo, equipment, and people. MVO will utilize flat-bed and various types of lowboy trailers coupled by use of a turntable (fifth wheel) or pivotal hook to transport articles and materials ensuring loads are properly secured prior to departing pick-up locations. MVO will operate buses with rated capacity of 20 or more passengers for transporting military and civilian passengers. MVO must have the ability to obtain certification to: operate MHE with the capacities varying from 2,000 - 50,000 lbs. in order to load, unload, transfer, stack or unstack cargo, equipment, hazardous and non-hazardous materials and supplies; operate fuel trucks with dual tank capacity of 3000 gal. (1500 gal per tank) in order to deliver fuel to various installations. MVO must: have an understanding of Federal & State transportation regulations, be knowledgeable on pre/post trip inspection requirements, perform equipment maintenance as required, have the ability to follow instructions and complete necessary paperwork (timesheets and daily trip logs) accurately and in a timely manner. MVO will enforce safety rules and regulations while performing job functions, will meet requirements as outlined on the mission schedule and in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and will follow company policies/procedures provided during in-processing. MVO must be available anytime during the normal work week which begins at 12:01 a.m. on Monday and ends at 12:00 midnight the following Sunday. The work day begins at 12:01 a.m. and ends at 12:00 midnight and you are subject to being scheduled anytime between those hours. Overtime may be assigned as needed to meet contract requirements. MVO will be assigned additional duties as deemed necessary. Additional duties may include but are not limited to: housekeeping, yard/warehouse maintenance, driving tactical vehicles, assisting with contract support requirements for environmental, safety and security, evaluating other CDL A drivers, working in other job areas as needed, etc.

Work Conditions:
Work is typically performed outdoors while being exposed to different temperatures and weather conditions. Work will require exertion of moderate to heavy physical effort, and will include driving, sitting, leaning, walking, reaching, climbing, lifting from 1-50 lbs.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Current CDL A

· Current X (HAZMAT) endorsement

· Current Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)

· Current PUC (DOT medical card)

· P (passenger) endorsement

· Clean driving record

· Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience

· Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance (if deemed necessary)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
