Mover/Packers are the entry level positions for the Residential Department of the business. The crew’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, packing household items to our standards for short and long distance transport, unpacking items and staging furniture in new residential spaces, loading and unloading trucks, inventorying and storing furniture and boxes at our warehouse facilities, delivery, and general warehouse and truck duties and maintenance, including cleaning and trash disposal.
Mover/Packers who excel in customer service, can drive large box trucks, and have impressive organizational skills will find this position suitable for them, and will have multiple opportunities to grow within the company.
Requirements/Skills:
- The ability to lift, load, and unload up to 75 lb boxes, furniture and appliances for a full work day is a daily requirement. Shoulder straps, hand trucks, dollies and other equipment are all provided to assist so that workers can do their job safely and effectively
- Workers often have to walk up and down stairs, many times backwards, while carrying heavy and fragile items. Movers must also be able to navigate through compact, crowded, or difficult terrain. Good strength, stamina, and agility is required
- Great communication skills, collaborative energy, and an ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in the field. The ability to communicate to the Project Manager, Warehouse Manager, Move Team Leader, and coworkers will help the job go easily and efficiently
- Dependable attendance. Flexible scheduling is a benefit to this business, but you are required to work upon agreed scheduled calendar dates
- Reliable transportation to our warehouse every workday. We are located close to SEPTA Regional Rail lines, bus stops, and have ample parking
- Ability to label boxes and furniture legibly is essential for a packing position
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 Years of Age or Older
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Background Check
Advantages to Employment:
- Knowledge of the basic industry skills and terminology
- Knowledge of Collector Systems or similar inventory programs
- Driver’s License (For Driving Position)
- Experience packing a moving truck
- Organizational skills are beneficial to performing well in this industry
- The ability to disassemble and reassemble furniture and household goods
- At least 6 months of residential moving or warehouse experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Pack, load, unload, stage and unpack client’s household goods and furniture
- Inventory
- Good customer service
- Performance of all responsibilities with care, attention to detail, and efficiency
- Safe and secure cargo packing, loading, transport, and delivery
- Work safety is required at all times to prevent injuries to self and others on crew
- Understanding, following, and supporting the project plan at the direction of the Project Manager (PM), Warehouse Manager (WM) and Move Team Lead (MTL)
- Conveys any client concerns immediately to Project Manager, Warehouse Manager, or Move Team Lead

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
