Treasure Valley Hospital is a 28-bed, Joint Commission accredited surgical facility located in Boise, Idaho, which is consistently recognized for patient satisfaction. Check out our Google Reviews to see why our patients recommend us so highly! TVH has 10 OR's and specializes in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Gynecology, General Surgery and others. We are looking for an experienced MRI Tech to join our Imaging Department. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday shift.
License or Certification:
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists required (for MRI)
- Current BLS certification required
Education, Vocational Training, and Experience:
- Must have graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
- Minimum of one year of MRI Tech experience required
Interpersonal Relations: Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc., must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. Behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork in order to promote positive relations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Fluoroscopy, portable and operating room applications
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to care for patients based on age-specific needs
- Proofread imaging reports
- Process images through Dry View Camera
- Assess age groups for specific dosing of contrast media
- Computer/phone skills
- Ability to work under stress and be flexible
- Maintain filing systems
- Operate PACs system for input and tracking
- Research information and compile statistics
- Schedule appointments
- Give timely customer service
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Communicate articulately with others
- Use good independent judgment and common sense
- Ability to prioritize and follow through

- Prolonged to extensive standing/walking
- Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients
