Role: MRI Technologist

Location: Clermont, FL – (Onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

The MRI tech is responsible for operating the MRI machine efficiently and making the patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure while following appropriate safety protocols.

Essential Functions

· Explain the MRI process to patients to get them comfortable w/ the exam, minimizing claustrophobia.

· Ensure patient is compliant with all safety standards.

· Positioning patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.

· Administering and removing IVs for the MRI process.

· Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.

· Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.

· Monitoring MRI equipment functions.

· Reviewing medical scripts for accuracy of the scans needed for the patient

· Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.

· Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.

· Burn patient CD’s when noted for files

· Clean and stock the exam room as time permits

· Check over exams scheduled for the following day for exam, Dx or script issues

Required Education

· Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology or ARMRIT

· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (Preferred)

· General computer skills and PACS

· Basic IV skills

· General physics and anatomy

· Three (3) Years preferred of Clinical Experience.

Preferred Qualifications

· ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per hour
