Carlsbad Branch Manager

Responsible for providing the safe delivery of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services to our customers. Responsible for revenue and profit of the branch. Directly supervises and manages operational employees. Indirectly manages functional positions supporting the Branch to include Safety, Radiation Safety and Administration.

Duties Include

• Manages client relationships and ensures work is delivered safely and per client requirements
• Liaise with clients and the staff in all aspects of work scope initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing
• Liase between Company requests and branch staff for communication and required documents
• Responsible for sales growth within their branch by adding new clients and securing ongoing new work with existing customers
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations of all general safety policies and rules, and radiation safety policies and procedures
• Manages the daily and general organization of the employees of the Branch according to works schedule
• Ensure that personnel assigned to each project are adequately qualified, certified and competent to perform their tasks at all times, and all supporting documents are submitted and filed as requested
• Grow and manage technical talent pipeline
• Responsible for submission of required paperwork in a timely matter, including work tickets, timesheets, and requested reports
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Company’s Motor Vehicle Policy, and Drug and Alcohol Policy.
• Responsible for on-the-job training and guidance of Technicians and Assistant Technicians
• Ensures all nondestructive testing equipment is safe and operational
• Monitor equipment and consumables
• Responsible for leading the team in all aspects of the job, including the Company’s safety and safe driving policies. Communicates to their employees and ensures understanding of all Company policies
• May conduct and interpret radiographic tests
• Obtains and maintains all required certifications and licenses
• 100% audit pass rate from client/customer audits
• Zero incidents involving safety and security
• Know the location of sources at all times

• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned/directed

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Prior experience as a Technician and related Non-Destructive Testing experience required
• Level II RT MT PT and UT Thickness and CWI experience preferred

Education Required:

• High School/High School Equivalency

Experience Required:

• 1 to 2 years related experience

Working Conditions:

• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, crawling, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
• Moving, carrying and lifting objects in excess of 75 pounds
• Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs and scaffolding in excess of 100 feet continuously throughout shift
• Be able to climb ladders and platforms up to 250 feet with a harness and lanyard
• Be able to step up into vehicles or onto equipment
• Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
• Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
• Work in and near industrial hazard
