Assistant Manager – Nekter Juice Bar Villa La Jolla

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining shift operations excellence. Provides employees with all the information and resources they need to do their jobs and to feel a partnership with the organization. Works with General Manager to execute goals/priorities and corresponding action plans/strategies. Communicates all shift issues, concerns, and needs to the General Manager. Demonstrates exceptional shift leadership, manages, coaches, and develops shift leaders daily to execute and deliver Nekter Juice Bar’s standards, policies, and procedures.

Position Pay: $18.00/hr + Tips (Tips average between $2.50-$3.00/hr)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hires and retains sufficient customer-oriented employees.

• Ensures that all cleaning and food handling procedures are correct, resulting in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

• Ensures that items are prepared to recipe and served at the proper temperature and appearance.

• Train new team members

• Inform the team about seasonal promotions and new menu items.

• Guarantees that quality checks and checklists are conducted consistently in his/her location.

• Place produce orders

• Responsible for finding shift coverage and covering shifts when needed.

• Opening/Closing the store

• Crafting hand-made juices, smoothies, and bowls
• Assists with Scheduling / Takes over scheduling after training
• Hiring

Qualifications

• Shift Lead or Assistant Manager Experience of at least 6 months to a year.
• Friendly demeanor.
• Clean appearance.

• Extended periods of standing. May also require some bending and lifting a minimum of 40lbs.

• Valid Food Handlers certification.
