Job Description
The Treasury Manager is responsible for cash management. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. They are goal oriented, and deadline driven; consistently keeping weekly and monthly accounting timelines on schedule. They exercise attention to detail and follow the proper processes and policies to maintain an accurate daily cash position. They utilize and implement practices that efficiently manages the company’s cash.
Responsibilities
Overall duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage daily cash positioning and payment processing
- Documenting controls around systems access, approvals of changes to SOPs, and cash management
- Establishing relationships with the billing departments of our vendors
- Reconciling bank statements to cash account balances in NetSuite
- Maintaining current vendor records, including contracts and contacts, in NetSuite
- Overseeing the preparation of 1099s and other vendor-related tax filings
- Supporting the annual external audits through preparation of audit schedule
Education & Skills
Required
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentration in Accounting or Finance or related preferred
- 5+ years of experience in public or corporate accounting
- Superior analytical skills
- Must be comfortable independently evaluating a situation, exercising judgment, and independently making decisions.
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Experience in NetSuite strongly preferred
- Knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
