Job Title: Network Architect II – Vinita, Oklahoma

KAMO Power, located in Vinita, Oklahoma is in search of a Network Architect II. The work location will be the Vinita headquarters. KAMO offers an exceptional compensation and benefits package including 100% paid employee medical coverage and employer base contribution 401k plan.

All levels of experience will be considered. Job and pay grade will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

The Network Architect is responsible for designing, configuring and deploying new DWDM, SONET and MPLS L2/L3 Ethernet services, as well as maintain Enterprise routers, switches and firewalls. This position will analyze performance degradation, conditions, alarms and events. Position will also perform lab studies to test the interoperability between new and existing equipment, and malfunctioning equipment.

Ideal candidates should possess a solid understanding of telecommunication theories that include: MPLS, DWDM, and SONET architecture, layer 3 routing, T1 hierarchy, multiplexing, reliability, latency and OSI protocols. The position requires solid knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, Ethernet, RSTP, VLAN switches, qualify of service and IP.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Networking, Telecommunications, IT or related computer science field is required. Equivalent industry experience may potentially be considered toward substitution of degree requirements. Requires three (3) to five (5) years of telecommunications experience designing, managing, and provisioning telecommunication networks involving IP, MPLS, DWDM, Next Generation SONET and Ethernet services.
