Ghostrx is currently interviewing Family Practice Nurse Practitioners for coverage at IHS facility at Ft. Yuma Health Center - Winter Haven, CA

Contract Length

• 6/27/23 with (4) 1 year options to extend

Shift

• Monday 8:00 AM to Friday 5:00 PM

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner
• 2 years clinical care experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Masters preferably in Family Nurse Practitioner
• Certification as a nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body.
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• License as a Nurse Practitioner in any State

Expectations

• As a qualified specialist the Family Practice Nurse Practitioner, assumes responsibility for the diagnosis, prevention, therapy, maintenance and rehabilitation of patients. Typical, but not all inclusive assignments include the following:
• Interviews and examines patients, reviews past medical history, and requests and/or performs diagnostic tests and examinations deemed necessary to obtain all possible information related to each case. Provides definitive management and full spectrum family ambulatory practice in all medical categories for cases.
• Conducts outpatient clinics making observations appropriate to the outpatient's underlying disease and treatment plan, including current symptoms. Reviews the patient's medications, diet, therapy course, adherence to management plan and patient observations. Modifies regimen as indicated. Instructs and counsels patients and family members as required and does so in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Refers patients to appropriate contracted medical facilities, providing full clinical information for care and diagnostic procedures that cannot be adequately provided at the FYHC.

• Monday to Friday

• Master's (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Compact State Nurse License (Preferred)

Salary: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
