  • Performs functions of assessing; planning implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients during shift.
  • Responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment.
  • Assists physicians during examinations and procedures, as well as, collaboration with all members of health care team.
  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
  • Promotes independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, concurrently performing a variety of tasks
  • Requires an associate's degree and an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through either AHA or American Red Cross required.
  • Experience with standard NICU concepts, practices, and procedures is highly preferred. If new graduate, recent preceptorship preferred.
