About us

We are a custom metal fabrication shop that works on anything from structural pedestals for the semiconductor industry to handrails for local colleges. We have two Oregon locations: one in Forest Grove and one in Joseph. Our Forest Grove plant focuses on raised floors/pedestals and miscellaneous steel fabrication. Our Joseph shop is a small extension of our Forest Grove shop. A flexible schedule is a must at either location. Crews will be working various hours depending on workload with possible required overtime. Required: OSHA compliant steel-toed work boots provided by you. All other PPE are provided by us.

RDF&P is a fast-paced, team-environment company looking for a confident Non-CDL Driver that knows their way around the Portland Metro area. Crews will be working various hours depending on workload with possible required overtime. Required: OSHA compliant steel-toed work boots provided by you. All other PPE are provided by us.

Qualifications:

· Valid Oregon Driver's license (non-CDL)

· Able to drive a manual transmission a plus

· Clean driving record preferred

· Good customer service

· Dependable and Organized

· Must have strong interpersonal and English communication skills

· General knowledge of standard safety practices and procedures relating to warehouse operations and equipment

· Must be able to maintain composure during stressful situations

· Work quickly in a fast-paced environment

· Able to learn routes, equipment, and customer locations quickly

· Have a safety-first attitude

· Have a good understanding of the Portland Metro area roads

· Forklift experience

Duties Include:

· Daily vehicle maintenance checks

· Drive a forklift (onsite certification required)

· Drive to multiple locations a day delivering and picking up anything from a pack of bolts to a 4,000-pound steel structure

· Wrapping and/or crating loads

· Building wooden skids

· Securing loads to truck

· Some general warehouse work

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· While performing the duties of this job employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

· This position is moderately active and requires standing and walking throughout the day.

· Ability to drive a forklift as well as a truck.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.

· Able to use hand tools and other production equipment as needed.

· Ability to bend over, crawl underneath, crouch besides, or climb over work projects.

· Be able to load and unload flatbed trucks, box trucks, vans, truck racks, etc.

· Set up and operate hand and power tools that relate to job needs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time day position, Monday through Friday and hours may vary. Flexibility a MUST. Potential for mandatory over time required.
