Join our team! Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community located between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro in Chatham County, NC. We are currently seeking a RN Weekend House Supervisor who is skilled in providing exceptional care and is interested in serving the senior population. This person will work the 1st shift (7:00am to 7:00pm) every weekend. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON), the RN Weekend House Supervisor is responsible for the independent supervision of the delivery of care to a group of residents in a nursing facility. You will assess resident needs, administer nursing care as required, develop individual care plans and evaluate nursing care given. The RN Supervisor will also supervise RN's, LPN's, CNA's and other personnel in the delivery of care.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assists the DON with orienting, scheduling, assignments, evaluating, and when necessary counsels staff members.
• Helps determine department staffing levels that promote high quality services; assures adequate staffing to meet resident care needs. Reassigns staff as indicated and assist in direct care as required to ensure equal distribution of workload.
• Prepares reports, keeps DON informed of the operations of assigned unit/facility.
• Committed to core values. Interacts with residents, families and visitors to solve problems, maintain goodwill, hospitality and positive customer relations. Works collaboratively with other departments for optimal quality of care to all residents.
• Adheres to resident rights. Interviews the resident/responsible party to obtain information required for developing and amending plan of care. Addresses any concerns voiced immediately and documents on proper forms for interdisciplinary team to review and follow as indicated.
• Performs physical assessment through observation, inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation timely.
• Identifies needs and provides input for admission, transfers, discharge planning and follow-up throughout length of stay.
• Keeps physicians/healthcare professionals informed of residents’ condition. Notifies physician/healthcare professionals immediately of significant condition changes. Collaborates with physician/healthcare professionals by sharing info relevant to changing plan of care. Keeps resident and responsible parties informed and involved in care.
• Assists in the management of a comprehensive improvement program by conducting ongoing quality assurance rounds, audits and reports to gather info in evaluating effectiveness of current processes and/or to identify any needs for change. Provides info to staff and develops action plans for concerns noted. Participates as a clinical lead in Antibiotic Stewardship Program, and completes reports to DON as required.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as needed.

• North Carolina RN License.
• CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate nursing staff.
• Long term care experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Mathematical and reasoning skills.
