Reporting to the Administrative Director of Surgical and Procedural Services, the Perioperative Nurse Manager will oversee a large department with many moving parts. Supporting you in this responsibility will be a CNOR Operating Room Supervisor and a CPAN Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Supervisor, as well as the Sterile Processing Manager and 5 Surgical Services Charge RNs. In total, you’ll oversee nearly 80 talented FTEs who are experts in the various areas of patient care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented OR Leader with experience overseeing the clinical and administrative duties of a Nurse Manager. The Perioperative Nurse Manager will oversee 10 busy inpatient operating-rooms, including 2 Heart Rooms and 2 Robotics ORs. Offering a diverse range of surgical procedures, from Neuro and Cardiac, to Total Joint and Podiatry, you’re expertise in efficient operating procedures and streamlined process improvement will surely come in handy.

The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will take a very important role in supporting the Surgical Services Director in the administration of the unit, as well as the clinical advancement of the unit. You’ll get to learn valuable skills around developing and maintaining budgets, accreditation and compliance preparation, and human resources / unit staffing. Clinically, you’ll serve as an mentor to the staff, driving clinical performance and education initiatives with the Surgical Services Unit Educator, and ensuring consistent application of evidence-based methodologies.
