Summary: Applies manual techniques and adjunctive therapies with the intention of positively affecting the health and well being of the client by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Must attend product knowledge training.
• Must proficiently perform required massage treatments (i.e. Swedish, Custom Fit, Head Hand Foot & Back Neck & Shoulders).
• Must be proficient in all components of massage therapy (i.e. antonym, physiology, etc.)
• Must have the ability to work under pressure without letting that pressure show to the guest.
• Must have a friendly, congenial personality.
• Must have cooperative attitude.
• Must have a willingness to work and be flexible in work scheduling, fully understanding on-call procedures.
• Must be a patient, courteous listener and able to show empathy.
• Must exhibit energy and enthusiasm for the job and the facility.
• Must be able to work well with people.
• Must ensure the privacy of each guest.
• Perform whatever is necessary to ensure and maintain a pleasant visit for each guest.
• Maintain effective guest relations.
• Perform special projects delegated by the Spa Director.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms and spa facility.
• Must attend all meetings. Keep updated with meeting minutes.
• Help with laundry and stocking supplies before, during and at end of each shift.
• Understand and carry out proper opening and closing procedures.
• Be aware of and able to perform emergency procedures.
• Must attend trainings, become proficient in the course of training with in the specified time given and maintain proficiency while working here.
• Be cross-trained to perform other related body treatments (i.e. herbal wraps, loofa, scrubs, etc.).
• Stay up to date on the latest developments pertinent to the department and become well versed and trained in their usage.
• Provide all guests with medical release waivers and review with them.
• Prepare and maintain the equipment, supplies and inventory daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.85 - $30.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Weekend availability

• Bolton Landing, NY 12814: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• NYS Massage Therapy License (Required)
