EPIC Rehabilitation and Nursing at White Plains is a **BRAND NEW** Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation center located in the heart of White Plains. This SNF is part of our "Epic Healthcare Management" group of facilities.

OTR - The Occupational Therapist is professionally trained and licensed, meeting the qualifications set forth by the NYS Board of Education and the NYS Rules and Regulations requirements. The Occupational Therapist develops and implements in cooperation with nursing and medical services, specialized rehabilitation services of Occupational Therapy according to the Residents Comprehensive Care Plan. QUALIFICATIONS: The Occupational Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and works in consultation with the Medical Director, Medical Staff, Nursing Department and Administrator. The Occupational Therapist supervises the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and Rehabilitation Aide. Must possess a current NYS License in good standing with the NYS Board of Education. As required by the NYS Board of Education and AOTCB. Must have two (2) years experience in a skilled nursing setting and experience with MDS/PRI and comprehensive care plans. Must possess entry-level knowledge of practice of Occupational Therapy as set forth by the NYS Board of Education and the AOTA. Professional competency as a practitioner of Occupational Therapy as defined by AOTA.

Requirements

• Must possess a current NYS License in Occupational Therapy which is in good standing with the NYS Board of Education.
• Must possess current malpractice insurance.
• Long term care and/or sub-acute rehab experience desired.
• Must have a sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled.
• Must possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm in order to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and growth.
• Must be able to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff.

ADA Requirements:

Candidate will have the physical ability to perform job related duties, which may require lifting, bending, stooping, stretching, pulling and pushing up to 50lbs or more as needed.
