Job description
- Handling of Import Ocean and Export from A-Z including data entry, tracking, arranging pickups/deliveries and billing
- Follow up shipments with carriers, overseas agents, overseas offices, and trucking companies ensuring documentation is complete
- Ensure files are closed on timely manner and accurately billed in accordance
- Arrange local deliveries for customers after customs clearance when appropriate
- Acknowledge of ISF Filing
- Manage high volume of emails, phone calls and provide troubleshooting
- Track cargo arrival and schedule pickups and deliveries on time
- Track and communicate shipment delays or documentation issues to our clients and overseas agent(s)
- Maintain quotes and communication from carrier/vendors
- Create final invoice to Client/Agent, close and archive files
- Recognize key compliance and operational aspects of client’s cargo shipments
- Set-up and prepare various files and documents associated with ocean export transactions
- Perform routing and rating analysis including bookings and spot rates requests according to established company procedure
- Set-up and prepare documents necessary for timely dispatch of export cargo
- Research and analyze best route/rate combination according to customer requirements and established procedures
- Be Familiar with cargo handling impact of various commodity types (e.g. magnetic, perishable, over-sized, etc.)
- Schedule, book and follow up with pick up truckers as per company policy
- Handle customer and agent service inquiries; Set-up and prepare customer and agent invoicing
- Maintain current knowledge local, state and federal requirements/regulations and applicable departmental/organizational policies
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate records with adherence to applicable regulatory and legal requirements as well as related essential documents

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
