Hamtil Construction is a St. Louis remodeling firm looking for an Office Administrator to undertake administrative tasks at our office located in South County, MO. We are a small family owned company that is known for being fun, friendly, and organized!
The primary responsibility of this position is bookkeeping, but see full description below. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. The office administrator ensures smooth running of our company’s office and contributes to the company culture and growth! We are seeking someone to fill this role part time for 24 - 30 hours per week, and we can be flexible with the hours (provided hours are between Mon- Fri between 7am - 4:30pm). An ideal candidate has experience in this field, and preferably with Quickbooks, but we are also prepared to provide training as required.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer and project information
- Assist in project startup and completion administrative processes
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
- Execute payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, project financials, and other bookkeeping procedures
- Create and update records and databases related to projects, personnel, financial, and other data
- Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Track company uniforms and place orders when necessary
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience using Quickbooks is required
- Experience as an office administrator, administrative assistant or related role is preferred
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. 1 year of Excel experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
