National Youth Advocate Program has been serving communities and clients since 1978 and we continue to grow each year. Our growth allows us to expand and develop new and innovative programs to meet the ever-changing needs of those we serve. Position Overview
Summary
The Office Specialist position provides the opportunity to promote efficiency for the Charleston Behavioral Health and Wellness Program. You will complete daily operations of the office through administrative support functions. This role requires excellent people relations skills, energetic engagement of internal and external community, knowledge of behavioral health and/or medical office systems and practices, basic bookkeeping skills, and sound knowledge of agency programs, procedures, and policies. The Office Specialist is enthusiastic, well organized and detail oriented.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience and proficiency in the use of various office machines, including computers.
- Previous experience in medical or behavioral health and/or foster care office including experience with Medicaid and insurances required.
- Basic bookkeeping skills and experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software. including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
