Job Description Summary

The Offshore Wind Fleet Performance Engineer (FPE) will provide engineering support to the technicians onsite for the resolution of technical issues which affect the reliable operation of offshore wind turbines.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Offshore Wind Fleet Performance Engineer will work closely with the Vineyard Wind site team, the Technical Support team (Fleet Performance Engineers and Product Service engineers) and the Engineering team to find out solutions to the technical/operational issues of the wind turbines.

The FPE will act as liaison engineer within the Technical Support team between the Vineyard site team and the back office. The FPE will be working on a two weeks on / two weeks off rotation schedule, together with a back-to-back FPE. This role will require up to 50% travel if not located near project hub.

  • Be the preferred contact point for any technical issues, or any questions raised by site technicians.

  • Be supporting the escalation of technical issues & non conformities, providing detailed information collected from site and initial investigation.

  • Support the site team at the end of wind turbine commissioning, to prepare the punch list in the context of the handover between Project execution and Services.

  • Contribute to the validation of the Log-out/tag-out procedures and maintenance work instructions prepared by the O&M documentation team.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the product availability by catching the lessons learnt from operation.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional technical experience

OR

  • High School diploma/GED and Minimum of 7 years of technical experience in wind turbine generation technical function

  • The salary range for this position is 76,00.00 - 127,00.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% performance bonus. Available benefits include Health, Medical, 401K, and Paid Leave.
