Banquet Server

Reports to

Director of Catering

Summary/Objective

Provides food and beverage service to club members and guests.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Sets banquet tables to meet function specifications.
  • Delivers and serves food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments.
  • Ensures menu knowledge.
  • Removes china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and delivers to the stewarding area.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
  • Responds to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Assists fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Assists others with side work including, but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position requires flexibility to work events Tuesday through Sunday.

Required Education and Experience

1. At least 6 months service and/or banquet experience in a restaurant.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours at one time.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Fine dining experience.
