Middle School Math/Science Teacher
For the 2023 - 2024 School Year

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington Teaching Credential with a Math/Science Endorsement or K-8 Endorsement
• Successful experience as a classroom teacher
• Demonstrated ability to work with staff and community in a personable, friendly, supportive and organized manner
• Experience and/or training in areas of technology usage in education
• Knowledgeable in current curriculum and state learning standards
• Evidence of strong instructional strategies
• Evidence of ability to work in a team approach to instruction and inclusion
• Willingness to coach or direct other school activities

Expectations and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the growth of an effective school climate that creates a learning environment sensitive to diverse socioeconomic groups
• Facilitate, plan, organize and implement flexible classroom curriculum
• Promote an environment that fosters high expectations, performance, respect and dignity of all students
• Demonstrate ability to further integrate technologies available within Math classroom
• Promote parental involvement and open communication with parents
• Continue professional growth and development
• Model professionalism for community and students
• Energetic, motivated, positive individual focused on math education to prepare students with employable skills
