Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing and 100% employee-owned company, is looking for an exceptionally driven, fast-moving, resourceful, and proactive Operations Staff Action Officer to help support a high visibility and innovative organization. The successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a proven self-starter, capable of working independently and with a team.


Principal Responsibilities:


  • The right candidate will have a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and be able to work accurately when under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • You will be responsible for a wide range of activities including management of fast-changing and complex calendars, tracking key deliverables visible at the senior-most levels of the organization, and helping to coordinate the work of internally and externally facing team member
  • Other activities include managing an operational budget
  • You need to be someone who wants to build a deep and trusting, long-term partnerships with leadership across the community
  • A successful candidate will also possess the ability to operate independently, and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
  • Integrate briefings for presentation to senior leaders, higher headquarters, and external agencies
  • Research and consolidates technical presentations, while performing quality review, track documents through the staffing process
  • Maintain and manage a calendar of events for senior leaders, including all important conferences, meetings, and visitors. Schedule/coordinate conference calls, rooms, transportation as required
  • Compose nontechnical correspondence (staff memos and forms) to higher echelons, affiliated and nonaffiliated agencies, and business associates
  • Safeguard classified material, transmission, documentation, and storage as required


Required Skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat)

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI


Required Experience
  • BA or BS degree
  • Experience supporting senior military leadership
  • 3+ years of experience assisting at the battalion staff level or higher
  • Comfortable partnering with several stakeholders across the DoD, Commercial Industry, Academia, and Intel Communities
  • High judgment and decision making in ambiguous environment
  • Experience in strategic and operational planning and analysis
  • Strong understanding of Army’s operation process (ADP 5-0 and 3-0)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Specialized experience in Microsoft Power BI or Tableau, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the intelligence agencies and organizational relationships of the Army, Department of Defense, and non-DoD Agencies
  • Knowledge of the missions and functions of the Army Staff agencies, the Secretariat, the Army Service Component Commands, the Direct Reporting Units, and other Army organizations
  • Demonstrated track record of problem solving and very strong analytical skill capability
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Demonstrated experience drafting MFR and professional documents (AR 25-50)
  • flexibility in balancing competing priorities
  • Experience supporting diverse teams including corporate senior leadership, flag officers, SES government civilians or senior executives
  • Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently, and, at times, with management staff under time constraints and stringent deadlines
  • Extensive and in-depth knowledge of one or more of the disciplines in intelligence operations (e.g., Geospatial Intelligence or GEOINT, Measurement and Signatures Intelligence or MASINT, Signal Intelligence or SIGINT, Open-Source Intelligence or OSINT), or related fields such as collection management, information operations, foreign languages or airborne reconnaissance.
  • Knowledge of how best to summarize and present information for senior Army and intelligence community leaders' consumption and action.
  • Knowledge of the Military Decision Making Process, writing operation orders and standard operation procedures.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with budget and appropriation processes, President’s Budget Request (PBR), Program Objectives Memorandum (POM), President’s Budget (PB), Unfunded Requests and 1-N lists.
  • Experience in DOD financial planning and execution
  • Experience supporting Rapid Acquisition, Prototyping Project
  • Experience with Task Management Tool (TMT)
  • Familiarization with “How the Army Runs.”
