Job Description
Job Title: Data Entry Clerk/Cycle counter/Expeditor Department: Stockroom
Reports To: Pre-Production Crew Supervisor Location: Dallas
Prepared By: Human Resources Status: Full Time – Hourly
Revised Date: 6/30/2022 Job Classification: Non - Exempt
Work Hours: 8 Hour Shifts (Schedules and shift assignments may be subject to change based on business needs)
SUMMARY
Reviews Rx data in computer to ensure accuracy and completeness. Process jobs. Asist and communicate with HOYA Labs questions or concerns on Rx orders, and as a backup for positions in the stockroom department as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews Rx orders and processes them accordingly.
- Backup for cycle counting, assist, learning and understanding how to perform all aspects of cycle counting in semi-finished stockroom.
- Make corrections to Rx orders as needed
- Help to receive short orders, and short orders lenses out of stock to back up Leads as needed.
- Communicate questions or jobs status to origin labs (via email or phone).
- Pay attention to warning messages from data entry screen.
- Must know information about company billing policy, lens availability, coating availability, frames manufacturers, and service codes available
- Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen and enters necessary codes
- Compares data entered with source documents or re-enter data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
- Help with expediting/ high breakage trays given by supervisor.
- Send work to designated areas.
- Print out Rx tickets, fold them, and place them in job tray.
- Move job trays to next station.
- Retrieve used trays to lens Pre-Production area
- Must Contact other HOYA Labs in regarding of their Rx orders to make corrections and obtain answers to question.
- Must answers emails from other HOYA Labs in regarding of job status.
- Closedown procedures for end of workday.
- Recalculates Rx jobs or send them to server as needed.
- Must send daily reports and communications to management and HOYA Labs.
- Cross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab as need it.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- None required
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Basic Math
- Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when needed
- Able to read and write English Language well
- Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately
- 10 key-by-touch and 45 wpm typing skills
- Computer skills (Windows, MS Office)
- Problem solving skills
- Work without constant supervision
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to use hands to grasp and manipulate. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crawl and/or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program
- Closed toe shoe required
- Must use proper ergonomics when lifting
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet
