JOB SUMMARY:
The OR Endoscopy Support Assistant is responsible for OR case preparation, including finalizing the gathering of supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for procedures. This position works with the specialty service representative(s) and department management to ensure preference cards and picklists are kept up to date, and supplies and equipment required for the day-to-day operations of the department are present and available as needed for surgical/endoscopy procedures. The OR Endoscopy Support Assistant facilitates daily operations of the operating room through assisting in room turnover, staging, and ensuring equipment, adequate supplies, and other needs are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Education or GED
Experience
Minimum 1 year of direct hands-on experience required in one or more of the following areas: Operating Room operations, procedures, instrumentation, supplies, and equipment
OR
Minimum 1 year of Central Sterile Technician or Central Services experience required
Computer skills such as Epic OpTime, Excel, and Lawson strongly preferred
Licensure/Credentials
BLS required within 30 days of hire
