We are seeking the right person to join our team as a Over the Road Driver. At Mid-West Fertilizer we have a safety-first culture. We know our team members are our best asset. What you will do:
- Haul anhydrous ammonia from production facilities to various locations throughout the Mid-West
- Seasonally haul grain and dry fertilizer
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and arrange maintenance as needed
- Complete all driving records timely and accurately in accordance with the DOT
- Keep a safe working environment
- Provide courteous service to customers and team members
- Maintain a positive image by keeping all equipment clean and maintained
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you will need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements and current medical card
- 2 years’ experience over the road driving
- Capable of being on the road for multiple weeks at a time
- Knowledge of completing daily driving logs
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Previous experience hauling Hazmat is a plus! Will train the right candidate.
