Community Care Network is looking for Residential Recovery Specialists to join our team!

About the Role:

The Recovery Specialist will work with individuals suffering from mental illness and/or substance use disorders in a home like environment. This role may assess incoming clients, review client's rights, responsibilities, guideline and services, in accordance with established protocol. Additionally, the Recovery Specialist will support therapeutic programming, facilitate and share meals with clients, perform basic monitoring of vitals, facilitate observation of self-administered medication, and electronically chart notes.

Qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in psychology, human services, social work or related field preferred
• Have a high level of emotional intelligence and understanding of people living with addiction, mental illness and in recovery.
• Able to communicate directly, respectfully, and clearly.
• Ability to develop a nurturing relationship with clients.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.
• *Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.

Candidates should be aware that new employees in a residential facility will be required to be vaccinated by their start date, meaning they have received all of the recommended doses for either a one dose or two dose COVID-19 vaccine, and provide proof of vaccination status (e.g. CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card), which will be kept confidential.
