ivot Onsite Innovations is expanding our occupational health services to Eastern Oregon! We have an immediate opportunity for an Overseeing Physician to provide oversight of our new regional medical offices in Missouri . In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of annual protocols and required documentation and provide telephonic and physical assistance as necessary. This is a contractor position with an estimated schedule of two hours per week (eight hours per month).
Job Summary:
To provide medical care for the patients of Pivot Onsite Innovations, oversight of regional medical offices and to ensure that the scope of services and level of care meets the expectations of Company’s clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in coordination with the Company’s Chief Medical Director to identify potential quality assurance and quality improvement issues arising in the course of work
- Assist the Chief Medical Director in the management and oversight of operations of Oregon locations
- Review cases as appropriate and take appropriate follow-up action
- Maintain a very positive customer service orientation, which will serve as an example for all department staff
- Assist in the evaluation, assessment, development and management of clinical and non-clinical staff including medical provider staff
- Participate in the cultivation and development of new clients and maintenance of existing clients through limited marketing activities as set forth by the Chief Medical Director
- Perform other duties as delegated by the Medical Director
Required Education and Experience Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Completion of an accredited emergency medicine, internal medicine or family medicine graduate medical education program
- Board certification in Occupational Health preferred
- Board certification in primary care field or recent graduate of residency pending board certification required if not in Occ Health
- Experience in clinical practice that incorporated occupational health medicine
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Oregon
- Certified DOT medical examiner
- Certified Medical Review Officer
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
- Excellent communication and public relations skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate appropriate management and referral for occupational health injuries
- Knowledge of OSHA and other Federal and State occupational health regulations
- Knowledge and/or ability to learn vaccination/medication requirements for international travel
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol testing requirements and issues
- Ability to deal with a wide variety of patients
- Ability to perform on a professional level with Company’s clinical staff
