GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for efficiently removing packaged product from the conveyor and placing in boxes.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Remove poly bag or box from line conveyor and place systematically in shipping container.
• Discard any poly bag or box that is not properly filled, not sealed or defective in any way. .
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Occasionally assist in the inspection of product prior to packaging.
• May perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedure.
• Notify supervisor immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge:

• No prior experience or training.

Reasoning Ability:

• 
  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
