Job Title: Package Handler (Airport Authority)

Location: Rockford, IL 61109

Duration: 05 Weeks (Part Time)

Shift 1– Day Hub: Sunday-Thursday, 8:00 AM (Sun), and 10:00 AM (Mon-Thu) 20 hours/week.

Shift 2 – Day Ramp: 9:00 AM (Tue-Thu) 21 hours/week.

Description

• Mandatory : Looking for people who already have a badge (i.e. SIDA/TSA clearance) to work on airport property.
• Package handler/warehouse worker for Airport authority.
• Overseeing the movement of passengers' luggage from the check-in desks.
• Collecting and sorting items by checking them against a flight list so that they are loaded onto the correct aircraft.
• Taking luggage to the appropriate aircraft in a baggage truck - protecting it against bad weather if needed.
• Correctly loading and storing luggage in the hold of the aircraft.
• Removing luggage from an aircraft as quickly as possible after it has landed.
• Sorting loads according to their onward destination.
• Ensuring the luggage is loaded on the correct carousel in the baggage reclaim area.
• Recording and dealing with damaged or incorrectly received the baggage, and load discrepancies.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $12.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Rockford, IL 61109: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• SIDA/TSA clearance: 1 year (Preferred)
