Dr. Schar USA, Inc. is a division of Dr. Schar AG headquartered in Burgstall, Italy with over 35 years of experience manufacturing gluten free products.
Our business has been steadily growing within the US and Canada. We are seeking candidates for our 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:15am) and offer permanent, long term employment at competitive pay for qualified candidates.
- Execution of the production orders according to the instructions of Production Plan
- Visual inspection of packaging machines for safe operation (check belts, slicer oil, etc.).
- Start-up and shutdown of packaging equipment during changeovers and plant shutdown.
- Operate packaging stations as directed by lead as needed and as certified trained. Stations include: Cleanroom: Slicer, Multi-Vac, and Floater/Support. Packaging line: Table, Palletizing and Tester.
- Ensure product meets quality standards through visual inspection. Report deviations from standards to lead.
- Finish product and place in appropriate packaging to prepare for shipping to customers.
- Verify data screen for error messages (power, air pressure, etc.). Perform first level resolution for any errors / problem identified.
- Cooperate with large-scale QA / R&D tests
- Cleaning of work area in the Clean Room and Packing area according to the cleaning instructions in Cleaning and Disinfection Plan and documentation of the process in Cleaning Record. Prepare equipment for next day of production.
- Notification of sources of concern in the clean room and observance of instructions from the Occupational Safety and Health management system
- Correct separation of waste according to Waste Control
- Observance of HACCP, allergy, glass and knife management.
- Observance of Safety Guidelines, Hygiene Guidelines, Internal Work Rules and Emergency and Evacuation Plan for Swedesboro Plant.
- All other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to see color.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, bend and stretch
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to tolerate repetitive hand motions to pack bread products and move packaging materials'
