Description: A supervisory level position responsible for day to day operation of packaging duties. Candidate must have demonstrated competence in all areas of packaging, the ability to work with management and packaging team to complete objectives, and shown good leadership and decision making skills.

Job duties:

• Work with the Production Manager to maintain a timely production schedule
• Direct wholesale and retail orders to the Warehouse Specialist
• Supervise Delivery Specialist, and communicate with retail managers for their needs
• Manage inventory and transportation of materials to and from auxiliary warehouse
• Work with the Operations Manager to complete PMs and other minor repairs as requested
• Set daily and weekly work schedule in consultation with Production Manager and lead production team to complete all objectives
• Organize packaging material inventory, assist with end of month counts
• Train new employees and continue to develop current employees
• Assist with creating and reviewing protocols
• Other projects and duties as requested

Physical requirements:

• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee to employ traditional lifting methods.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to work in a moderate noise level.
• Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (fork lift).

Knowledge and Skill requirements:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• The ability to follow and write packaging protocols
• Knowledge of can and bottle filler operation
• Strong adherence to QA best practices
• Experience with using forklift, scissor lift, dock plates, refrigerated truck, and other powered and non powered equipment as needed
• Knowledge of basic level draft system, keg washer, and can filler troubleshooting and repair
