Position Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Automotive Painter to work on the most progressive products in the world. This position will be supporting the Tesla’s Paint shop located in Lathrop, CA. If you are interested in working in one of the world’s finest Paint Shops, we are interested in hearing from you!

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and protocols all at time.
• Operate electrostatic powder spray guns and related equipment.
• Perform surface prep. Masking and plugging.
• Inspect parts for quality/defects before and after coating.
• Determine if surface is ready to be painted.
• The use of proper PAPR.
• Operate and use all equipment properly and safely.
• Escalate functional and process failures to the appropriate support groups and leaders.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in paint shop / collision center / body shop as a painter either liquid or powder coatings.
• Knowledge on rework / reprocess of a painted products.
• An understanding of common defects, what causes paint failures and how to correct them
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work within an alternative work schedule and adapt to sudden changes
• Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of times, up to 12 hours per day

Expected Compensation

$18.00 - $47.52/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
