• 
  Paramedics working 12-hour shifts can earn approximately $52,307.66, which includes scheduled overtime.
• Paramedics with advanced degrees in Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Medical Science, or Emergency Medical Care will receive extra pay based on the highest degree obtained: Associates ($.25 per hour), Bachelors ($.50 per hour), Masters ($.75 per hour).
• Paramedics who possess a National Registry Paramedic Credential and their North Carolina Paramedic Credential will receive an additional $.25 per hour.
• Paramedic students working at an EMT level on 12-hour shifts can earn approximately $37,171.89, including scheduled overtime

• Shifts available: 12-hour shifts (day and night) and 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday.
• Interview dates: Friday, November 18th 2022. (Save these dates. Applicants chosen to interview will be contacted one week before the interview date to schedule an interview.)

• Administering pre-hospital medical care and psychological support to sick and injured patients
• Operating emergency vehicles
• Attending continuing education programs to maintain re-certification hours
• Completing electronic patient care reports and other documentation
• Cleaning and restocking ambulances and bases
• Other assigned duties

• Graduation from high school and completion of a Paramedic degree or certification program; and
• Certification by the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services as a Paramedic

• Graduation from high school and completion of an EMT certification program PLUS currently enrolled in a Paramedic program; and
• Certification by the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services as an EMT.

• A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Excellent patient care skills with thorough knowledge of paramedic-level emergency medical protocols and the ability to properly use the appropriate equipment and supplies
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and adherence to policies/procedures
• Dedication to outstanding customer service and community focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals, including citizens, co-workers, managers, hospital staff, and other agencies
• Exceptional initiative and motivation
• Knowledge of the geographical layout of Catawba County
• Working conditions are inside/outside, and candidates must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 200 pounds with a partner regularly

• 
  Applicants with successful completion of ACLS, PALS, and ITLS courses
• Paramedics bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Hmong are encouraged to apply. Extra duty pay for bilingual skills is available upon successful test results.
