We are seeking a Part Time Cook to join our team!

Reports To: Food Services Director

We are committed to continuous staff training and educational programs ensuring our residents' always receive personalized care and attention.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• To cook 3 nutritious meals and 2 snacks per day for the 50+ assisted living residents
• To heed special dietary needs of residents — also, to prepare special meals for residents who are ill, such as soup or Jello.
• To deliver meals to any independent residents requesting meals for the day.
• To assist the Food Services Director in preparing for parties and other special events that the community may have.
• To abide by cleaning schedules for the kitchen and dining room as set by the Food Services Director.
• To report any resident changes involving eating habits to the Food Services Director.
• To report any maintenance issues regarding kitchen equipment to the Food Services Director.

Qualifications/ Skills Needed: The candidate must hold a High School Diploma or GED. Preferred candidates must have experience in food service.

• Must be able to cook meals from scratch
• Schedule: Ability to work shifts as scheduled: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm or 10:00am to 6:30pm
• Schedule includes working every weekend or every other weekend.
• Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields, worked in commercial kitchen
• Passion for food and cooking techniques
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment'

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
