We have a 70,000 sqft Artisanal Bakery and Retail in Henderson Nevada. We are seeking an Pastry Chef to lead our team!!!
This person will be responsible for the overall operations for all Pastry kitchens. The Pastry Chef will directly supervise, and coordinate activities of workers engaged in preparing production for our kitchens. He/she will be accountable for the daily kitchen operations ensuring the quality, standards, and expectations are met.
Responsibilities:
ยท Expertise with Cookies, Breads, Cakes, Birthday Cakes and Wedding Cakes
- Develop and trained team members on proper food preparation, health requirement standards and kitchen safety techniques
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance. Identify areas where changes are needed and implement action.
- Employee Time Management accountability.
- Monitor quality of products and services produced
- Monitor daily production schedule with Production Manager for Orders to optimize On-Time Completion and delivery
- Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies in the Bakeries and Distribution Center as needed based on Orders being processed
- Maintain health standards for raw and finished products
- Seeks direction and takes responsibilities for deadlines and tasks when appropriate
- Proactive with daily/weekly planning and forecasting
- Able to lead and mentor a team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations management or other related fields, 3 years
- Knowledge of common food safety practices (or willing to learn on your own time)
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and communication skills
