Kilgore Companies is now hiring for a Paving & Grading Superintendent. In this position you will be responsible for overseeing asphalt paving operations including safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, equipment selection and personnel management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise paving operations to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
• Plan, coordinate, and manage resources to ensure project objectives are met
• Supervise and direct field employees and other contractors to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance
• Assist project team in scheduling, developing, and implementing project procedures
• Improve the knowledge, skills and capabilities of paving crews
• Comply with, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment
• Ensure that quality control is developed and maintained
• Ensure all jobs are previewed and correctly laid out before crews arrival on site
• Directly oversee the foremen in paving, patching, and crack sealing and seal-coating and direct them in the production and management of jobs. Motivate and mentor production employees
• Ensure all projects have pre-construction conferences scheduled and held
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external customers
• Develop and improve work processes to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency , cost control, and profitability for all types of work
• 10+ years in construction management and paving supervision experience or a similar role with heavy emphasis on asphalt paving
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of paving (technology, equipment, methods, procedures and standards)
• Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills required
• Experience in DOT and FAA paving operations
