The Payroll Administrator is responsible for performing Payroll and Accounting-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other members to support the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll and compliance reporting.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct weekly payroll to include certified payrolls electronically and on paper
- Edit/Manage employee time, receive time off requests and missed punch forms
- Research, assist with development and implementation processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare payroll journal entries and perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, and recording payroll transactions
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
What You Will Need:
- At least 3 years experience in a payroll or accounting position or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Paylocity
- Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A willingness to come in every day and find ways for us to improve from the previous day.
- Ability to work independently and handle frequently changing needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with people at all levels is imperative.
- The ability to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group is essential.
- Positive, proactive, and approachable personality.
- Poised under pressure with the ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice.
- Bilingual is a plus
