Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To assist in the preparation and processing of County payroll, and maintain various tax and personnel records.

Provide outstanding customer service to employees, retirees, and others both within and outside the County.

Exercise a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement.

Prepare and verify County payroll for active employees and retirees.

Maintain employee records including job bids, promotions, transfers, address changes, etc.

Assist employees with the transition from active employment to retirement.

Ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including but not limited to union contracts, employee records, and retirement forms.

Experience/Requirements:

High school graduate with one to two years of payroll or other accounting experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Excellent Excel proficiency required.

Must be a resident of Westmoreland County or establish residency within 180 days of hire date.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.23 per hour
