POSITION DETAILS:
- Position Title: Peer Mentor
- Department: Adult Outpatient
- Employment Status: Full-Time
- Shifts: Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a full-time Peer Mentor. The Peer Mentor acts as a role model for sober living. Mentors offer support to current residential and outpatient patients as they navigate treatment and aim to connect patients to the outside recovery communities through individual and group activities. The Mentors aid the transition from residential to outpatient services as well as create visibility for Fora Health's programs through outreach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) or Peer Support Specialist (PSS) certification
- Traditional Health Worker (THW) certification through the Office of Equity and Inclusion
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by date of hire, in accordance with OAR 333-019-1010
- Flexibility in scheduling, including evening and occasional weekend hours
- Valid driver’s license for transporting clients in De Paul vehicles
- GED/High School diploma
- Proficient and timely with required productivity and clinical documentation standards
We require 2+ years of continuous sobriety for candidates who identify with being in recovery. A DHS criminal background investigation is conducted on all new employees. Convictions are evaluated for each position and are not necessarily disqualifying.
