Vista Hill is all about serving people. As a dynamic community-based organization, we develop and maintain a diverse array of quality services and programs throughout San Diego County. Our programs range from brief early intervention and preventive work with youth experiencing challenges, to treatment with school age kids, to long-term special education and training for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will see our caring staff working with challenging populations that most other agencies shy away from in areas that are conveniently located to the people we serve.

THE PROGRAM

The Rosecrans Shelter Project program is a new County program that will be a one-stop shop for resources for the homeless. Many organizations are coming together under one giant resource tent to provide multiple services to stabilize active health conditions and to coordinate linkage with other psychosocial and housing resources.

THE POSITION

The Peer Partner provides client engagement, linkage and consultation as well as direct services to a caseload of clients.

· The primary focus areas of direct service include case management, linkage and resource support.

· The Peer Partner maintains client charts, develops service plans, completes assessments and program outcomes, and writes progress reports for the Level 2 clients.

· The Peer Partner collaborates with programs and community agencies such as emergency mental health providers, faith-based organizations, and support groups and utilizes them as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

· Coordinates intake activities and discharge planning.

· Provides rehabilitation and skill building services on topics such as decision making, emotional regulation, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

· High school graduate.

· Prior experience with working with clientele similar to those in the assigned Program.

· Prior experience navigating public systems within San Diego County

· Must be free of parole and probation for a period specified by program contract.

· Must have a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.

· Must pass pre-employment background check, TB test, drug screening, and COVID vaccine requirements.

· May require bilingual abilities based on population needs.

· Bi-lingual English / Spanish a plus.

HOURS

Full Time

Monday – Friday

PAY

$15.50 per hour to start - may be adjusted upwards based on experience.
