Permitting Coordinator - Primoris Renewable Energy

Summary:
Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Permitting Coordinator. The Permitting Coordinator will work closely with the Pre-Construction department and will be responsible for investigating and processing permits. This position will help drive our permitting efforts to better support our operations team as well as our clients. As a member of the Pre-Construction team the accomplishments of this role are critical to delivering on the Primoris commitment to exemplary customer service.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Act as cross-departmental company resource for AHJ and utility information and communication
- Responsible for the submittal of permit applications
- Assist the Project Management team with permit related issues
- Represent Primoris to various AHJs while applying for permits and gathering code requirements
- Meet with plans reviewers and zoning officials to obtain necessary permits
- Prioritize permit submitting based upon agency review, lead times and customer schedule
- Some travel required
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years Permitting/Environmental experience
- Prior solar industry experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of construction highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with and knowledge of state/county utilities
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to travel as needed
