General Summary

The Personal Teller 1 assists the Credit Union in the achievement of its goal to always make a positive difference in each member’s financial life. The Personal Teller 1 position provides the highest quality of service to all members, by identifying their financial needs and recommending products and services that would meet those needs. The Personal Teller 1 is responsible for completing the member’s financial transactions in a professional and efficient manner, effectively listening, and answering member’s questions.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Answer member calls via camera and deliver high quality member service by communicating clearly throughout all interactions.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and educate members on our products and services.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and high energy level during all member interactions.
  • Understand the value and importance of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain focus on communicating clearly to ensure ease of use, accuracy, and efficiency with all transactions.
  • Maintain a business-like appearance and project a professional and friendly image.
  • Knowledge of GECU’s products and services.
  • Work with in-branch team members to create a consistent member experience.
  • Think independently and utilize problem solving skills to resolve member issues expeditiously.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all member transactions and account information.
  • Responsible and accountable for risk by elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.
  • Keep up to date with all promotions, products, services, and digital offerings.
  • Discuss member feedback, questions, and concerns with manager and escalate as necessary.
  • Understand and adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, requirements, and policies.
  • Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.
  • Must be able to speak and understand fluent English.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong decision-making, and communication skills who can work in a fast-paced environment; always exhibit a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Be comfortable, professional, and friendly on camera.
